Holidaymaker who got sick on break to Turkey wins nine-year legal battle
A 61-year-old IT consultant has won a Supreme Court compensation battle against tour operator Tui after suffering from a stomach upset during a holiday in Turkey.
The Supreme Court ruling means the IT consultant can now receive compensation, which is estimated to be around £30,000.
The dispute centered around a medical expert's opinion that the food or drink served at the hotel was the cause of the IT consultant's stomach upset. [ more ]
